While many books describe the need to be kind to the planet, Howell manages to help the reader develop his/her relationship with Gaia. Howell does an exceptional job of giving the reader a knowledgable basis to work with Earth’s energies in our everyday lives. “Making Magic with Gaia” is an extraordinary book written in extraordinary times. As Francesca’s friend and her original High Priest, I have often had difficulties finding books to recommend to students and fellow travelers on our Path which combines a sound enviornmental view and a magickal Wiccan/Pagan view. This book hits both nails on the head.
To date I have purchased 2 copies for our library and several more to give to friends.
If you are a magical person concerned about the fate of our Mother Earth, buy it, read it, pass it along!

Spiritual ecology is a practice whose time is now. Francesca Howell has written a clear and informative manual about how to achieve well-being for ourselves and our natural world, Gaia. She draws on many spiritual traditions – Wiccan, Buddist, Taosit, Pagan and native cultures to offer information about balance, healing, guides, shamanism and crystals. Each chapter contains visual exercises to bring you closer to your spiritual self and concludes with very practical ecological suggestions for positive change in the world. It only takes one person to make a positive change. This delightful book is an excellent guide. It is highly recommended.

This book is long overdue, yet it has come at just the right time. In order to heal ourselves and each other we must heal our planet. This is a great book for anyone of any path. I can’t wait for the next one from Francesca!

If your pagan, Wiccan or none of the above, but you are mindful of nature then this book is for you. It really brings to life how we as Spirtual people can combine this energy into aiding our Ecology. Francesca Ciancimino Howell brings to life the simplicity of walking in the path and how our practices can be directed to benifit us all and our Mother Gaia.
